2024 Event Highlights
Easter Egg Hunt
On March 23rd, visitors enjoyed a fun-filled Easter egg hunt at the farm! Children searched for eggs, took photos with the Easter Bunny, courtesy of Birthday Buddies, Inc., and enjoyed the farm’s unique charm. Congratulations to Maddie Harris, our raffle basket winner, who celebrated the day with her sisters, Caroline and Evie.
Run for the Horses
On April 13th, runners of all ages came together for our annual race. The race options included a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 1-mile walk on a cross-country course. The day was more than just a run; it was a celebration of the community’s commitment to ensuring a happy retirement for our horses. After the race, participants enjoyed a celebration party and an award ceremony. Congratulations to the top three finishers of the 10K and 5K runs across various age categories.
Summer Camp
Our first-ever summer camp welcomed young adventurers aged 5-12 to experience the magic of Ryerss Farm and learn what daily life is like for our residents. Each day was filled with exciting activities, from caring for our beloved residents and the farm to hayrides, field and crop walks, and fun crafts.
Family Fun Day
On June 22nd, families enjoyed games, pony rides, face painting, hayrides, cookout favorites, and more. The horse bounce house and obstacle courses were a hit with kids, and the farm buzzed with laughter and joy.
Red Robin Fundraiser
On September 19th, supporters dined at Red Robin in Collegeville to give back to Ryerss Farm. With 20% of sales donated, this partnership showcased the power of a simple meal to make a meaningful difference.
Blessing of the Animals
Held on October 5th, this memorable event brought people and their pets to our farm for a non-denominational service and individual blessings. Visitors also enjoyed spending time with our residents and exploring our gift shop.
Magic of Ryerss
On October 27th, we celebrated 136 years of caring for retired and rescued horses at Radnor Hunt. Attendees enjoyed a magical day featuring Ed Schmitt’s magic show, an open bar, and a delicious buffet. They also experienced the thrill of bidding on baskets filled with home, fall, or pet care essentials and treats, as well as unforgettable experiences like Christmas in Victorian Cape May, a signed Eagles jersey, or a week in St. Maarten.
