CODY LITTLE: On Thursday, January 24, 2019 we said goodbye to Cody Little. He was a sweet Miniature Horse, who retired to Ryerss Farm on January 20, 2014. He had been originally purchased as a four year old driving pony on a local Chester County farm. Many grandchildren spent hours upon hours playing with Cody and a second Mini named Rosie. Cody and Rosie were pasture mates with Mr. Coffee, a 24 Tennessee Walking Horse, who also retired to Ryerss at the same time. After Mr. Coffee passed away, Winston took on the role of “guardian” for Rosie and Cody. Winston and Rosie remain with us at Ryerss, and we are all deeply saddened at the loss.
BUDDY: On Thursday, January 24, 2019 we said goodbye to a longtime resident. Buddy was a feisty chestnut Arabian/Quarter Horse cross. Buddy loved peanut butter/cheese crackers and French fries. Born in 1978, Buddy retired to Ryerss in October 1996. He was a member of the upper barn herd and was a good friend to Rascal, Malibu and Rio. He will be greatly missed by them, as well as the many volunteers who cared for him over the years.
