2015 RYERSS HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE A SUCCESS!
On December 6, 2015, the Staff and Volunteers of Ryerss Farm held their Annual Holiday Open House. Many visitors came to see the horses and to have photos taken with Santa. Hayrides were offered to all and the Ryerss haywagon made several trips around the farm, driven by farmer Tim with a narrative by Dave Coyle. After visiting the horses and enjoying a hayride, everyone came inside for cocoa, coffee and Christmas cookies! The Ryerss Gift shop was open and did a brisk business selling toy horses, Ryerss logo sweatshirts, 2016 Ryerss Calendars, photo mugs, toy tractors, tote bags, a “Horses of Chester County” poster and many other things! The weather was beautiful and the large crowd enjoyed strolling around the farm, meeting the horses and getting in the holiday spirit! All in all, it was one of our best Holiday Open Houses ever! Many visitors made donations in honor of their favorite Ryerss horse by using the new “Holiday Wish List” cards which decorated the Christmas tree in the office. Thanks to all who participated and made that effort a success. For those who still wish to honor a horse with a gift to Ryerss this season, there are more Wish List cards at the farm…stop in and find out how!
