CAPPY (CARREG WEN EL CAPITAN), is a Morgan gelding. He was a Pennsylvania state champion in-hand in 1997 and 1998. In 1998, he was also reserve champion under saddle in hunter pleasure, and in 1999 he was reserve champion for the entire Mid-Atlantic Region. Cappy is very gentle and personable. He came to Ryerss on May 22, 2010 at the age of 20 and lives in the upper barn. He is always looking for a treat or two. In addition to his show career, Cappy was also a “fun trail riding horse” who was not afraid to give an occasional “seat check” to make sure you were paying attention!
CASEY is a 20-year-old Quarter horse gelding who stands 15.1 hands. He arrived at Ryerss in December 2012, along with his best pal, Mark of Cornwall. Casey and Mark had lived at the same barn, and their previous owners were friends, so the four of them often rode the beautiful trails in Chester County together. Casey has a very sweet disposition and a friendly demeanor. He loves treats and loves attention. He has adapted well to a life of “retirement” and is happy to spend time with his buddy, Mark, in the pasture where both horses are making friends with their new herd mates.
C’EST WHAT began her career on February 17, 1988, as a two year old when she was registered by The Jockey Club as a chestnut filly foal of 1986. Her official record shows her as a winner at Philly Park in 1989 and 1990. When her former owner stumbled upon her in 1991, she was being trained under English and Western saddle. Years later, C’est and her former owner moved on to work with a Three-Day Event trainer. For the past four years she has been a pleasure horse. At age 25, C’est is a gentle soul. She retired to Ryerss Farm on July 31, 2011.
