The Annual Family Fun Day which took place at the farm on Saturday, June 17th was attended by hundreds of adults and children of all ages. A good time was had by all, and the event was a success in raising money to help care for the 80 retired and rescued horses who live on the farm. Lots of activities and games, hayrides, food, prizes, pony rides, and even a dunk tank, created a festive atmosphere. If you missed Fun Day this year, be sure to plan on joining us next year. It’s a wonderful place to bring your young children and grandchildren!
This past spring, the Farm broke ground for an enlarged meeting space and refurbished administration quarters. The Board of Managers have dedicated the Animal Welfare Offices in loving memory of Robin Sherrie Bell, a longtime Ryerss Farm friend and equine enthusiast.
The new meeting space will be used for large volunteer groups, Board and educational meetings, birthday parties, or other social gatherings and will have state-of-the-art presentation and communication equipment. The room has, in fact, already been pressed into service for our Christmas Open House.
Now that the last few final details have been put in place, we plan to have an “official” ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication in January.
